THE CODE
“Don't seek revenge... 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay,' says the Lord.”
The code says handle it yourself. An eye for an eye, never let it slide, blood for blood. That code has filled more graves and more cells than anything else where you're from. It dresses up like loyalty, but it's a trap that chains you to the exact thing you swore you'd escape. Walking away isn't soft. Letting God keep the score is the strongest, rarest, most dangerous move on the block, because it actually sets you free.
Release one grudge the streets told you that you had to keep.
- Release one grudge the streets told you that you had to keep.
- Walk away from one situation your pride says you cannot.
- Let God keep the score on the person who wronged you.
Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.
- Take the weight of revenge off my hands.
- Free me from the code that has filled graves and cells.
- Make walking away feel like strength, because it is.
