SHAME

Romans 8:1

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Guilt says you did something wrong. Shame says you are something wrong. One's from God to turn you around; the other's from the enemy to keep you face-down. You've been listening to the wrong voice so long you think it's your own. The blood didn't just cover the act, it silenced the accusation. Stop rehearsing the worst thing you ever did like it's your name. It isn't. Get up out of the mud.

Today's move

Reject one lie of shame today and speak the truth over yourself.

Steps toward a better life
  • Reject one lie of shame and speak the truth over yourself out loud.
  • Stop rehearsing the worst thing you did like it is your name.
  • Tell one person the thing you think makes you unlovable.
Come home to Jesus

Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.

Pray about this
  • Silence the accuser that keeps me face-down.
  • Remind me the blood already covered this.
  • Help me get up out of the mud.
