MERCY
“To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
You want mercy on your worst day, so quit rationing it out on everybody else's. The people hardest to forgive are usually carrying the exact weight you are, just hidden better. Every time you extend grace you didn't have to, you break a cycle that's been running for generations. Be the one who stops it. Hard people were made, not born, go easy on somebody the way you'd beg to be treated.
Show mercy to the person you least feel like forgiving.
- Show mercy to the person you least feel like forgiving.
- Extend the grace you would beg to receive on your worst day.
- Break one cycle by refusing to pass it on.
Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.
- Give me mercy for someone the way I want it on my worst day.
- Make me the one who stops the cycle.
- Soften what has gotten hard in me.
