HONESTY

John 8:32

“You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

You've told the lie so long you forgot it was one. 'I'm good.' 'I got it handled.' 'It's not that deep.' Meanwhile it's exactly that deep, and the performance is exhausting you. Freedom doesn't start when you get it together, it starts the second you stop pretending you have. God can't heal a wound you keep insisting isn't there. Drop the act. Truth is the only door out, and it's standing open.

Today's move

Stop performing for one person today. Let them see the real you.

Steps toward a better life
  • Stop performing for one person today and let them see the real you.
  • Say the true sentence you have been dodging: it is that deep.
  • Drop one act you are exhausted from keeping up.
Come home to Jesus

Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.

Pray about this
  • Give me courage to stop pretending I have it together.
  • Heal the wound I keep insisting is not there.
  • Lead me through the only door out, the truth.
