FEAR
“For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”
That fear feels like wisdom, but it's a liar dressed like caution. It's kept you from the apology, the calling, the hard conversation, the leap you already know God's asking for. Fear's whole job is to keep you small and stuck and safe from the very life you were made for. It doesn't get the final say, not over a man carrying the Spirit of the living God. Do the thing that scares you while your hands still shake.
Do the one thing fear has been talking you out of.
- Do the one thing fear has been talking you out of.
- Have the hard conversation while your hands still shake.
- Take the leap you already know God is asking for.
Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.
- Remind me fear is a liar dressed like caution.
- Fill me with the power, love, and self-control You gave me.
- Make me brave for the life I was made for.
