FATHER

Malachi 4:6

“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”

Maybe your father wasn't there. Maybe he was there and somehow still absent. That wound is real, but it is not a sentence you're forced to pass down. The cycle breaks on the man willing to feel the whole weight of it and refuse to repeat it anyway. Your kids don't need a flawless father. They need a present one who apologizes, shows up, and stays when it's hard. Break the chain in your hands.

Today's move

Do one thing today your father never did for you.

Steps toward a better life
  • Do one thing today your father never did for you.
  • If you have kids, tell them one true thing: that you love them, or that you are sorry.
  • Name the first way you will break the cycle, and do it this week.
Come home to Jesus

Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.

Pray about this
  • Heal the wound my father left, even if he never says sorry.
  • Make me present where he was absent.
  • Give me grace to forgive so it stops living in me.
