COMPARISON
“But let each man test his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in himself alone, and not of his neighbor.”
The scroll is stealing your life one glance at a time. Everybody's highlight reel against your behind-the-scenes, a game you're rigged to lose. Comparison is just pride and insecurity wearing the same coat, and it'll rob the joy out of a life somebody else is praying for. Run your race. Tend your garden. The only measure that matters is whether you were faithful with what you were actually given.
Put the phone down and finish one thing that's actually yours.
- Put the phone down and finish one thing that is actually yours.
- Unfollow the account that steals your peace.
- Name one thing you were given and tend it today.
Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.
- Free me from measuring my life by a highlight reel.
- Kill the pride and insecurity wearing the same coat.
- Help me run my race and tend my garden.
