ANGER
“Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath.”
That anger isn't random. Under it is a wound nobody ever tended, a betrayal, an absence, a thing done to you that was never made right. The problem was never that you feel it; the problem is where you're aiming it. Unhealed rage always finds the wrong target: your woman, your kids, your own body. Take the anger to God and to somebody safe before it takes something you can't get back.
Find what's really under your anger before it costs you something.
- Find what is really under the anger before it costs you something.
- Take it to God and one safe person before you aim it wrong.
- Walk out of the room before you say what you cannot take back.
Maybe you have never actually come home to Him. It is simpler than religion made it. Admit you cannot fix yourself. Believe Jesus already did what you could not, took the weight and beat the grave. Then talk to Him like He is real, because He is: God, I am done running. I believe You. Take what I have got left and make me new. That is the door. If you prayed that and meant it, tell one believer today and find a church that preaches the real thing. You do not clean up first. You come as you are, mud and all.
- Show me the wound my anger is guarding.
- Keep me from aiming it at the people I love.
- Give me a slow fuse and a soft answer.
